Tūhono Kapa Haka Festival 2019

On Friday 20th September, we had 50 of our kapa haka students attend the Tūhono Kapa Haka Festival at Hillview Christian School. We were 1 of 6 groups competing for the numerous certificates and trophies available in the Intermediate grade. The group were absolutely stunning and showed great professionalism and flair throughout their entire set. Te Rōpu Harikoa came away with multiple placings, certificates, and awards.
Top female leader - Sophie Yarham
Waiata Tira (Chorale Item) - 2nd Place
Waiata-ā-ringa (Action Song) - 1st Place
Haka - 1st Place
As well as being awared the Overall Winners Trophy for 2019.
To all of those who competed for CSIS at the festival, you represented your school with pride, consistently demonstrated the South Way, and should be incredibly proud of your achievements. Thank you to all of the whānau  and teachers who supported Te Rōpu Harikoa for this event.
